The Office of Success Programs offers a variety of programs and resources to help all students improve academically and maximize their success in their courses. .
Individual Assistance/Academic Coaching
Individual advising for students is available through our Academic Coaching program. Professional staff who have educational and experiential backgrounds in academic support give direction in study skills, time management, behavior change, leadership skills, decision making, and other learning support skills to enhance students' success in classes and co-curricular activities. To make an appointment, please complete the intake form. You will then be contacted for an appointment.
Online Resources
We have a variety of online resources on topics such as time management, taking notes, reading a text, study skills, test taking skills, and stress management as well as the additional skills for some of our core first- and second-year courses (e.g., calculus, chemistry, physics). As you explore the information under each topic, try to identify areas where you believe you need extra help.
Tutoring
In addition to our 1-to-1 Tutoring Program, free tutoring is offered through several departments at Georgia Tech: OMED, Freshmen Experience, departmental programs, Teaching Assistants, and numerous student organizations.
Academic Success Workshops
The Office of Success Programs sponsors a variety of workshops on academic success, including test-taking skills, time management, learning styles, and assessing your academic progress. In addition, we partner with other campus units such as the Counseling Center, the Dean of Students Office, and the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL). Faculty, student organizations, or other departments may request a workshop tailored to your specific concerns.
