Tutoring Policies
- Students are allowed ONE SESSION per week regardless
of course.
- Students should arrive at their scheduled tutoring session 10 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled appointment. Students should also plan to bring their textbook and class materials.
- When a student cancels by phone or by email two
different times, access to tutoring will be restricted
for ONE WEEK after the third cancellation.
- When a student does not attend a tutoring session
and does not notify the Success Programs office or
the tutor by phone or email (no-show), the student
may be RESTRICTED from receiving tutoring assistance
for the remainder of that semester and only for that
semester.
- Tutors and office staff reserve the right to cancel
a student's session with a tutor due to no-shows,
cancellations, by request of the tutor or the student,
and under extenuating circumstances.
- Complaints, problems, and issues concerning tutoring
services, tutors, on-line scheduling, or any other
matter pertaining to 1 to 1 tutoring should be referred to tutoring@vpss.gatech.edu or 404-385-0041
- If a course or time is NOT available for you, it may be possible to make special arrangements. Please email us at tutoring@vpss.gatech.edu and describe your request, including the course name and number as well as any other additional information. We will get back to you in a timely manner.
